In this session, you can review exercises, problem solve and come up with the best game plan to get you moving forward.

She'll make notes during the session and email them to you. Feel free to reply to that email if you have any lingering questions about the session. If you have new questions that crop up later, want to coordinate efforts with another wellness provider or need opinions on different workout plans, please schedule a new session to go over those.

This option is also perfect for other wellness providers looking for advice or mentoring about a current client. We can put our heads together during the call and come up with a plan!

About Dr. Anna Hammond, DPT, OCS

Anna graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington with a liberal arts degree in Studio Art and a minor in Sports Medicine. At which point she traveled across the country to attend the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While attending MUSC, Anna also became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Over the past 7 years Anna has worked in various outpatient orthopedic settings in Atlanta, aging from 7 to 93, and even became a clinic director, starting a clinic from the ground up. She is constantly finding ways to further her manual therapy, functional assessment, and sports specific training skills. In 2015, she became an Orthopedic Certified Specialists demonstrating advance skill and knowledge in orthopedic physical therapy. She is excited to be a part of the skilled team at Dr. Jon Hyman Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine clinic where patients can receive full continuity of care due to the team approach of constant discussion of treatment options and each staff member bringing their expertise to treating patients. Anna has furthered her knowledge into women’s health after the birth of her daughter to help her own process of fully recovering from pregnancy and childbirth.

Outside of work, she takes her knowledge and skills to the “healthy” population. She and a colleague created a “screen and clean” program to help assess those who wanted to begin a gym program, work on injury prevention, or generally physically feel better. She has also worked with the Paideia School faculty, coaches, and students to educate them on how to develop and implement a proper lifting program. She has lead various group strength training classes for them and created sprint workouts focusing on sprinting and cutting techniques for injury prevention and improved sports performance.

When she is not participating in work-related activities, Anna is enjoying time with her growing family and finding time to continue to be active through weightlifting, playing ultimate frisbee, practicing yoga, and hiking.
