As a runner and mom of four, I chose the path of women’s health physical therapy based on my own journey—especially after the birth of my twins. This course was incredibly helpful in deepening my understanding of pressure management, not just for my patients, but for myself. I’ve had a persistent hernia since my twin pregnancy, and learning how to achieve lateral and posterior rib cage expansion, along with calming my upper abdominal gripping, has made a noticeable difference in how I feel day to day.

I love when continuing education not only expands my clinical knowledge but also helps me heal and move better. This course really emphasized how impactful breathing can be in our daily lives. I especially appreciated the practical, out-of-the-box tips Sarah shared—like simply rotating my hand on the jogging stroller while going downhill to engage my biceps and prevent leaning backwards to improve biomechanics. It’s such a small change, but it has made a huge difference for me and other stroller moms trying to maintain pressure management while staying active. There were several Ah-ha moments like this throughout the course and I can’t wait to go back and re-watch the lectures (My new favorite way of marathon training is watching them on the treadmill or listening to the lectures on my everyday runs) to see what new knowledge I gain.

I’m so grateful for this course and all the tools I now have in my physical therapy toolbox to support my patients even more effectively.
