This is the type of education that should have been included in graduate school PT programming as it provides the robust type of training that I’ve been desiring for at least 15 years. All generalist PTs can find benefit in this education and make it applicable across many populations, not just pregnant and post-partum populations, because of the training in pressure management, core activation, kinetic chain training, etc. Furthermore, if more outpatient orthopedic therapists had this training it would create much greater opportunities for pregnant and post-partum women to receive the care they so desperately deserve while reducing the burden on internal pelvic health PTs. Perhaps then pregnancy and post-partum would be better treated like all other orthopedic surgeries/conditions. Sarah is a great educator, has clearly put a ton of effort into creating a research-backed and comprehensive program and is passionate about service to others.
